Keep proposed changes separate from trusted ledger history.
Decide what the tool can see
Open Dram includes workspace help for external AI tools, but it does not require you to use one. Giving a tool access to the vault may expose records and attachments to that tool or its provider. Prefer a sample workspace when exploring.
Use the workspace instructions
- Back up the workspace and read Help → AI inside the app.
- Open the vault folder as the AI tool’s workspace, not the app installation directory. Read the generated workspace instructions and USING-WITH-AI guide.
- Ask the tool to prepare a supported proposal or review output. Inspect what it proposes before applying anything.
Preserve the ledger
Do not let a tool directly rewrite posted entries or history files. Use the supported proposal review/apply workflow shown in Help, or make changes through the normal app screens. An AI-generated explanation does not replace a compliance decision or verification of the source records.
