Local ledger data

Your vault folder holds local records and files. Working in a local workspace does not automatically send its contents to the website. An exported report is a separate file; anyone you share it with may be able to read it.

Protect the folder

“Local” does not mean the vault is an encrypted safe. Use device encryption, suitable operating-system permissions and protected backups. Anyone or any tool with access to the vault folder may be able to read its contents. Signing in is not a substitute for filesystem access controls.

When a network service is involved

Website visits, downloads, update checks and optional account flows can make network requests. Sending feedback submits the form contents to the website. If you let a cloud AI tool read your vault, its own processing and privacy terms apply. Never upload real customer records as part of an ordinary bug report.
