Customize fields and your workspace

Choose the right starting point

Settings shows the active jurisdiction pack and the available packs. Use an existing pack when its defaults suit your operation. Use the Custom pack workflow for changes specific to your own ledger.

Change supported field settings

1. Back up the workspace before changing a pack used for live records.
2. Open Settings and review the pack and field controls.
3. Change the labels, visibility and required flags that the interface exposes. Save and check the affected forms.
4. Create a test record and generate a sample export to confirm the result.

Labels do not rewrite history

Changing a displayed label does not change the meaning of a previously posted transaction. Required-field changes can expose incomplete existing records. Complete or review those records rather than hiding an inconsistency to make a check pass.
