Move to another computer

Prepare the move

1. Back up the vault and close Open Dram on the original computer.
2. Copy the entire workspace folder, including hidden files and attachments, to a protected transfer location.
3. Install the appropriate published Open Dram build on the destination computer.

Open and verify

Copy the vault to a local folder on the destination and open it through the workspace picker. Confirm the expected users, wallets, transactions and files. Retain the original backup until the transferred copy is verified. Desktop preferences and account sessions may need to be set again.

Avoid concurrent copies

Two copied vaults do not automatically merge. Decide which copy is the active ledger and avoid making parallel changes that you cannot reconcile. Hosted synchronization is not currently available.
