Create your first workspace

Before you begin

A workspace, also called a vault, is the folder that holds your ledger. Choose a location you control and can back up. The default local workflows do not require an account or internet connection.

Create a workspace

1. Open the app and choose English, Armenian or Russian.
2. Choose to create a workspace, select its parent folder, and enter a workspace name.
3. Set your organization details, time zone and jurisdiction pack. Choose the Armenia pack for its local defaults, or Generic/Custom when appropriate.
4. Decide whether to include sample records. Use samples for learning, then keep real operational records in a separate workspace.
5. Create the workspace and follow the introductory tour. Start with a user, then link a wallet and record a transaction.

Open an existing workspace

Use the workspace switcher or Settings to open an existing vault folder. Select the entire workspace, not a single exported spreadsheet. Keep only one writer working in a vault at a time; hosted collaboration is not available.
